The National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Wuhan) Pilot Testing Zone, which was inaugurated in September 2019, will expand with the second batch of 78-km test roads this year, according to the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone on September 2.
The total length of the test roads for autonomous driving is expected to surpass 100 km, making the largest of its kind nationwide.
The area has embraced many enterprises relating to autonomous driving such as Dongfeng, Baidu and Haylion Technologies, which is equipped with a high-precision positioning system centering on 5G and BeiDou Satellite Navigation System.(en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
