Wuhan’s first sky train is expected to put into use to in 2021, linking the Optics Valley and Longquan Hill, said local media on September 3.

Sky train, or suspended aerial trainsystem, is erected in the air by sturdy pillars, which occupies less ground area and takes smaller demolition. It is a new traffic system to connect urban areas to rural areas to achieve a three-dimensional traffic docking system and a central urban transport integrated hub. It could also cover all hot tourist spots.

The first phase of the sky train project in Wuhan covers 10.5 km, setting with 6 stops. It starts from the Optics Valley 4thRoad and ends at Longquan Hill, running through Baozixi Park and the East Lake Comprehensive Bonded Area.
