The PhaseⅠof Wuhan Metro Line 8, running from Tazihu Station and Zhuyeshan Station, has taken the lead in completing 5G network coverage, Hubei Daily reported today.
In August 2020, China Mobile (Hubei), Wuhan Metro Group and Huawei signed a cooperation framework agreement onpromotingthe application of new technologies including 5G in rail transport in Wuhan.And in September, the construction of a 5G network at Line 8 was started.
China Mobile (Hubei)said that the companywill invest 200 million yuan to achieve full 5G coverage on Wuhan's eightmetro lines by 2021,and the installation work on Lines 2, 8 and 11 will be completed before the Spring Festival. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
