On January 2, the second phase of Wuhan Metro Line 8 opened to traffic.
Thelineis about 17.6 kilometers and set with 12 stations, connectingwith the first and third phases of Line 8 that have been put into operation.
It is also a line cutting throughresidential area, business areaand tourist attraction. Starting from Yezhihu Station, passengers could reach Jiedaokou commercial circle in 17 minutes, Hubei Provincial Museum in 29 minutes, and Liyuan Square (one of main entrances to the East Lake) in 32 minutes.
