On April 13, Hubei saw its first rail-sea freight train left from Yichang City, bound for Vietnam.

Carrying 23 40-foot containers, the train will arrive at the Qinzhou Port in south China’s Guangxi Province, where the cargo will be transferred to Vietnamby sea.

Previously, the export of local products in Yichang mainly relied onriver-sea transport, leaving the country from Shanghai Port and arriving at Southeast Asia in about 30 days. The launch of the rail-sea multimodal transport from Yichang to Vietnamwill cut the journey by nearly 15 days. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
