Chen Ping, vice governor of Hubei Province, met with Dominic Trindade, Australian Consul General in Shanghai on May 23, in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province.
Chen expressed her warm welcome and extended sincere appreciation for Australia’s support to Hubei's economic and social development.
She said that Hubei has stepped up efforts to become an important pillar in the domestic circulation and a strategic link between domestic and international circulations. The province will provide more development opportunities for countries around the world.
Chen stressed that Australia had established 149 enterprises in Hubei by 2022. It is hoped that the two sides will take this visit as an opportunity to enhance high-level visits, expand economic and trade cooperation, and deepen people-to-people exchanges, so as to push bilateral cooperation to a new level.
Mr. Dominic Trindade expressed his confidence in the prospects of bilateral cooperation. He vowed to further strengthen cooperation with Hubei in the areas of green development, biomedicine and educational exchanges, in an effort to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
