在本届华创会开幕式上，27个项目现场进行签约，签约金额达308亿元。其中，人才合作项目和先进制造项目成为“主打”。与往届相比，今年华创会更加聚焦引进海外高层次人才、留学人员，设有海外高层次人才专场、武汉市“双优引荐”专场、国际微电子产业人才盛会暨第13届田长霖论坛等系列活动。
