The operating revenueof service industry above designated sizein Hubei Province amounted to 1.074966trillion yuanin 2023, the provincial statistic bureausaidon Sunday.
The number of serviceentitiesabove designated size reached 10,666in 2023, with a year-on-yearincrease of 27.7percent.
Among them, the total profit of service enterprises above designated sizestood at 101.875 billion yuan, jumping by 42.0 percent compared to the previous year.
During the period, the service sector accounted for 54.7percentof Hubei’sGDP,which was 1.7 percentage points higher than the previous year, and contributed62.3percent to economic growth.
Industrial structure also witnessed robust development over the period. All of tencategories achieved positive growth, of which seven industries grew by more than 10percent.
By the end of December last year, the number of employees inthe province’s service sectortotaled 1.542million, up 5.6percent year on year,which was6.1 percentage points higher than the national average growth rate.(en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
